I was offered an opportunity to handle the west coast operations. It is to entail west coast sales and marketing/branding. The company is small but growing. There is no salary involved… straight commission. Should i offer my marketing services on the side? There are many variables to consider. What are the sales now? What was the last person making in the position? Where are your connections? What are your connections like with retail chains etc? I think you need to gather tons of information before making a decision like this one. Because the questions you ask will lead to more questions for someone at your level. At your level they will be impressed by the quantity and quality of the questions you ask before asking for a commission number.
