Can you give examples to illustrate?

This comes to mind.

When GM built the car, "NOVA", it would not sell in Mexico.
GM pulled their hair since it was somewhat a success in US.

Finally, some smart exec learned the translation of Nova in Spanish.

In case you don’t know, No Va, "It doesn’t go".

Search all languages for the translation of the product name.

Exxon searched the world languages before using Exxon. The word does not exist anywhere.

We created this video over the course of a few months, collecting footage from families.
Made using FCP and Photoshop.

I did some of the filming, a lot of the footage was provided.

Who would be your audience, how will the product be packaged, and how will u let the public know about the product. Can u describe a commercial or a magazine ad? Any creative ideas???
This is for a school project. Our target is women. It has to be for beef flavored doggie treats. Any suggestions on the look of the bag or a good slogan or even anything else?

You are going have a hard time breaking into the market because there are numerous other companies that make beef flavored treats. Create or find something unique about your product. For example, if it’s organic, then make that your unique selling attribute.

Know who your target market will be. Do they like spending alot of money on their dogs? Or are your treats going to be low cost items?

If your product is going to be similar to name brand products you could sell your treats in similar packages and charge less then your competitors. Make the look similar, but not the same. Be careful not to be to similar becuase you will run into copyright issues and the like.

Create a integrated marketing communications plan. If you don’t know how to make one check the link below. I will be adding a blog post on how to make one soon.

I wont describe any ads right now because you have to figure out your target market and market niche first.

Director Tim Piper, Ogilvy (concept, treatment and post production) and Yael Staav, Soft Citizen (live action).
My thanks to Soho and Rogue (post production) for agreeing to do this film regardless of budget prior to awarding job. Same kudos to photographer Gabor Jurina and make up artist Diana Carreiro who agreed to make it with me for nothing if need. Thanks to my friend who agreed to be the model in the ad. Thanks to Yael for shooting the action off the back of ‘Daughters’ video. And thanks to Vapor music for the exhaustive music journey – (by Flashbulb in the end).
Thanks to my creative partner, Mike Kirkland.
Credits should have always included Ogilvy London’s Dennis Lewis and Malcolm Poynton for starting it, Mike Hemingway, Ogilvy NY and Ogilvy Toronto. Go Dove. Great brand. Great people.

I have very limited HTML knowledge and would ideally like a very simple solution that will also be able to track & report responses.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Without a doubt, you want to use PHPList – I’ve written all about it here:

http://www.3bweb.com/site-features/email-newsletters/

It’s FREE to own and use, for as many emails as you like – FAR better than any of the externally hosted solutions, which don’t send out from your domain, and charge per email!

Pizza Hut saw more than 12,000 entrants in the first two weeks and more than 3,000 texted in during the commercial alone. The rest of the entrants were driven by the friend-forwarder.

Right ok we know the reason to have a marketing campaign is to sell goods, products, services etc. However some marketing camapigns have more specific tactical objectves.

We are procurring some ad software for the net and reselling the ad space to customers. We have direct access to advertising customers so will sell directly, however fill in space by using google ads etc ehen space remains unsold.

To make sure we have the right platform for advertising it works to cross check against all sorts of tactical campaign requirements.

Such as:

* brand awareness,
* product awareness,
* education of benefits
* shifting stock
* selling tickets fast to an event

etc

What are the different tactical reasons for having a marketing campaign ?

Hey Life….

I did the many years of studying this and looking at that ant trying to figure out which ad campaign worked and which didn’t…

I then hear Jerry DellaFamina talk about products and businesses!
He is the biggest advertising guru in the USA. So I know that he knows his advertising!

And you know what he says…..?

CREATE A BUZZ!

That’s it! He says don’t worry about advertising, create a buzz and then you’ll know where you need to concentrate your efforts in bringing the product to the people.

So my answer as to reasons to have a marketing campaign? It’s to find out were to place the "buzz"
